About
Dr. Zecher
I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University and have completed clinical training at a variety of settings, including Fordham University’s Counseling Centeer, Xavier High School, St. Barnabas Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center’s Behavioral Health College Partnership program and Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. I have worked with clients across the lifespan, from adolescence through adulthood navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, sexual health concerns, and relationship issues. My training has emphasized evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and ACT, while also prioritizing a relational and collaborative approach that connects with each client’s unique experience.
At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can be fully yourself. I approach my work with genuine respect for each person’s unique and complex life story, believing that therapy provides an opportunity to heal emotional pain and transform long-standing patterns that hold you back from reaching your ideal self. I’m here to help you feel less alone in whatever you’re going through and to work with you toward clarity, growth, and self-understanding.
My therapeutic approach is to provide a space where we can collaboratively explore your experiences, recognize unhelpful patterns and develop practical strategies to work through your
challenges. I use my wide range of experience to deliver interventions that best fit the distinct needs of each person I meet with. Together, we’ll work on understanding both your challenges and your strengths and building confidence and skills to create a life that feels aligned with your goals and values.
