Telehealth is the use of telecommunication (phone/video) to offer psychotherapy. While this may seem foreign when compared to traditional in-person psychotherapy, telehealth offers a variety of benefits, including decreased risk of exposure to COVID-19, easier access to providers who may not be in your immediate area, increased flexibility, decreased travel time, and reduced barriers to keeping appointments. Additionally, many studies on the use of telehealth have found this to be as effective as in-person sessions. All telehealth services are done with HIPAA compliant telehealth services.
